PROJECT BACKGROUND

The new Garda SCO offices in Dublin are 19,000+ m2 and provide space for over 900 Garda personnel. The building includes offices, meeting rooms and conference facilities as well as staff facilities.

OUR ROLE

Multitek Construction worked in collaboration with a leading Irish fitout company and designed the construction methods by which the high-end bespoke wall and ceiling panels were put in place.

Working with such high-end pre-finished panels in such an intricate design required a lot of planning and coordination on-site.

PROJECT DELIVERY

This was a large project with a requirement to pre-order significant quantities of high end, pre-finished ceiling.

The issue of safe storage and protection of the packaged goods between delivery and fitting on-site had to be planned for and managed through the different phases of the project.

To facilitate services access before final fit-off, the Multitek Construction team designed a lifting jig.

Final sections of the ceiling could then be fitted, but easily demounted again as required by the service trades team.
